Today veteran Sask Party member and multi-time Cabinet Minister, Ken Cheveldayoff (Chevy), officially launched his bid to lead the Saskatchewan Party to victory in the next election.

Speaking today at the Sheraton Cavalier in Saskatoon, Cheveldayoff, MLA for Saskatoon Willowgrove, told his supporters, “My family and I have decided that I should extend my service and promotion to the larger constituency of the entire Province. My “rural roots” and “urban strong” background has provided me with the passion and desire to serve the people of Saskatchewan. I am, therefore, today, officially announcing my candidacy for the leadership of the Saskatchewan Party.” Cheveldayoff brings an impressive background of service to the Party and Province. He was first elected as a Sask Party

MLA in 2003, then, re-ˇelected with increasing pluralities in 2007, 2011 and 2016. Those numbers are earned through his dedicated service to his constituents and those he has served.

Chevy’s vast experience and leadership capacity have also been felt in national and international arenas. Always a voice of reason and cooperation, he has relentlessly sought to serve Saskatchewan people through a positive vision for the future of the province. The renewal of the Saskatchewan Party will involve listening to people’s issues and comments as he travels across the province. He will strive to see Saskatchewan soar as a model for the world in innovation, inspiration, and compassion.

“By working together, we can transform the future of Saskatchewan and of the people who call its farms, towns, and cities home. Join me in this adventure of achievement,” said Cheveldayoff.
